Healthy berry breakfast

I woke up this morning to a beautiful hot day, so I slipped on my trainers and went jogging around Lac Leman (Geneva) for an hour. After I got back, I was thirsy and hot. I wanted something refreshing and nutritious at the same time. So I looked in my fridge and put the following ingredients together.

  • Raspberries and Blueberries

Lots of vitamins C, high in antioxidents, good for circluation, boosts collagen (anti-ageing) and can keep cellulite at bay!

  • Natural yoghurt

Contains calcium. Studies show that people who consume 3 servings of calcium a day have less body fat than those that dont. And something for the ladies, less fat means less cellulite.

  • Chia Seeds, Sunflower seeds, Pumpkin seeds and toasted mixed nuts

I love my nuts and seeds and I eat them everyday. They a great source of vitmain E, zinc, magnesium, selenium and high in Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids reduces key factors involved in heart disease including high cholesterol and high blood pressure. It helps so many people suffering from illness such as rheumatoid arthritis and helps treat depression, diabetes and certain cancers amongst others.

  • Coconut flakes

Coconut in general is known as a superfood. It has a unique combination of fatty acids (MCTs) which have positive effects on health. This includes fat loss, better brain function and many other amazing benefits, but really I like it to add some flavour and I have it in many forms, flakes, oil, and milk.

  • A pinch of stevia

This is a natural plant sweetener. I use it with everything as it is completely natural and guess what...0 calories!

  • A springle of cinnamon

What doesnt this wonder spice do? It boosts the metabolism, reduces cholesterol, glucose and triglyceride levels, but also prevents bacteria growth and boosts brain function. Plus it is an antioxident that curbs cell damage, helping you stay younger looking.
